Slime – Demonstration of Simple Chemical Reaction

Remarks : The project was performed as part a set of experiments for Furley’s Mangosteen Day to educate & demonstrate to attendees how mixing just two chemicals can cause one chemical to change from a Newtonian fluid to a non-Newtonian fluid.
Description
Slime was made by mixing clear PVA (polyvinyl acetate) glue and borax.
The formation of slime using two everyday items demonstrated to attendees that chemistry is all around us and can be incredibly simple as well as complex.
