Remarks : The project was performed as part a set of experiments for Furley’s Mangosteen Day to educate & inform attendees of how to make your own soap at home. 

Description

 

Natural soap was made using lye (NaOH/KOH) and the chosen oil.

The simple mixing of two common ingredients together (with optional essential oil for aroma) showed attendees of Furley’s Mangosteen Day that while commercially made soaps are convenient, making your own soap is very easy and much safer for the skin.
