WHO WE ARE

Furley-Factory

Established in the middle of 2006, with purpose to build a contract manufacturing facility to move further up the value chain, providing further support to our customers and to serve as an OEM facility (we are a one stop center, providing turnkey product development i.e. from product conception to a finished product ready for launch in the respective target markets).

We have since expanded our business activities to our ASEAN neighbors, Hong Kong, China, Philippines, Australia New Zealand and UK. Our customer base too has spread across various industries; from food and beverage industry to the pharmaceutical, traditional Chinese medicine, multi-level marketing, retail chain and network selling segments.

04. Expanding Goal

In line with fulfilling life responsibly  we have started distributing our own brands nationwide through Malaysia. Our future intentions to improve traceability, quality and rural community development we have ventured into agriculture.

Improving our products pricing whilst improving income of local communities whilst helping people fulfill what is most important to themselves.

Company History

Our humble beginnings as a functional ingredient trader we have established a team with experience of over 60 years in the functional food world. Today Furley Bioextracts is a recognised industry leader of Biotechnology in Malaysia. With a dedicated research & development team with capabilities of creating customised testing, product development, prototyping

With a dedicated multi-discipline research & development team with capabilities not limited to creating customised testing, standardisation, product development, prototyping & process optimisation.

2006

Founded

Starting out as bioactive ingredient traders specialising in texturants and functional ingredients from Degussa, Cargill & Danisco . We provided training and expertise on how to use the ingredients we sell to improve or replace existing raw materials.

2007

GMP & HACCP Food Factory

Due to demand and requests we built a food powder contract manufacturing line. Enabling our customers to upscale their ideas.
Establishing ANZ HACCP Standards and GMP.

2012

Premises with Global Certifications (ISO22000, cGMP, Traditional Semi-Solid, Supplement Licences)

 

Realising we are running out of space we moved to a new improved factory at Semenyih. Adhering to European standards for manufacturing and much stricter requirements for supplements and traditional semi-solids.

2013

Awarded Most Innovative Biotechnology and Bioagriculture Company – SME Corp Malaysia.

Winning this award solidified our company as one of Malaysia’s leading innovative biotech companies.

2015

Own Brands

Whilst ever growing to help people fulfill life and to live more. We embarked into our own brands using the mangosteen extract research we have been developing since 2008.

It is a unique extract capable of antiseptic properties whilst still being nontoxic and food safe.

2016

Going Global.

Expanded distribution to USA, UK via Amazon. Middle East, China, soon Philippines and Indonesia.

2016

Silicon Valley World Cup Tech Challenge.

Our global expansion distribution landed us as a finalist in Biotechnology at Silicon Valley to pitch in-front of investors at San Francisco at the Microsoft Campus.

Runner-up, Malaysia Commercialisation Year

Further reinforcing our commitment to innovation and commercialisation of research we were recognized as one of the successful companies at commercialisation at MYEC.
