Prevention:
- The first step to avoid milk rash is to avoid the triggers. For example, if the rash is being caused by breast milk, you should try to avoid consuming food that can trigger allergies.
- When your baby has milk rash avoid bathing with warm water as this can make the skin more dry and therefore more itchy.
- Apply a gentle baby moisturiser to the cheek to keep the skin dry
- Do not scratch the cheeks even if they baby appears to be itchy
- If the rash has spread from your baby’s cheeks and they are suffering with a fever too you should consult your doctor

- Try to dress the baby in light, loose clothing during hot weather, do not let baby overheated.
- Gently clean the mouth, cheeks and neck area to wipe off the excess milk.
