The following techniques may help alleviate or shorten the duration of diaper rash.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Start with the preventative measures and keep your baby&#8217;s skin as dry as possible.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Simple cleansing with water and soft cloths.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Open-air exposure of the irritated skin<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Avoid certain foods that may seem to worsen the rash<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use over the counter creams.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apply anti-fungal or hydrocortisone cream ( doctor prescribe ).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>When to seek medical treatment?<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is usually not necessary to visit the doctor for a simple diaper rash. Keeping the diaper area clean and dry should prevent most diaper rashes.
