OEM factory in Malaysia

Choosing an OEM factory, you can choose a local factory. For example, if you are in Selangor or Kuala Lumpur, you can choose Selangor OEM Factory or Kuala Lumpur OEM Factory. FURLEY BIOEXTRACTS SDN BHD is able to service the whole of Malaysia. Follow these tips to find out what features you need to have in an OEM Factory either in Perak OEM Factory, Selangor OEM Factory or Kuala Lumpur OEM Factory.

1. Characteristics of a GREAT OEM Factory

1.1 OEM factory use Approved Ingredients ONLY

Use only approved ingredients. This is important for oem products. Approved ingredients are also suitable to the oem product I’m making because they are free of unwanted additives and impurities.

By looking into the Drug Registration Guidance Document (DRGD) guidelines, you can be sure that your oem product is being made the right way. This quality control should never be compromised for performance, price or desired outcome.

When it comes to oem products, you want to look for a couple of specific things as well as the general expectations already listed. First off, oem products can be made of all sorts of materials natural or synthetic. It is very important to make sure the oem factory you go with uses those specific approved raw materials for oem product. If they are not comfortable with this request, it’s best to find another oem factory.

The use of approved ingredients cannot be stressed enough when looking for oem factory . A oem product may sometimes contain harsh or toxic chemicals. You don’t want those materials touching your oem product if they’re not approved or permitted.

The use of illegal or unsafe ingredients can lead to jail, in certain situations 2nd-degree manslaughter and fines.

1.2 Latest Trends for Product. e.g. Cosmetics Parabens & SLS.

What is Paraben?

Parabens are a class of oestrogenic p-hydroxybenzoic acid esters. P-hydroxybenzoic acid and its salts and esters oestrogens.

Parabens are used to prevent the growth of bacteria in products such as shampoo, hair spray, body wash, aftershave lotion and cosmetics, which would otherwise grow when water is present.

Because parabens are oestrogenic, there has been some concern that they can act like oestrogens in the body. Oestrogen is important for many biological processes; however oestrogen hypersensitivity reactions occur in some people, and oestrogens can promote certain oestrogen-sensitive cancers.

Cosmetic products usually contain very little paraben, not enough to be considered dangerous; however number of studies have shown the possibility of oestrogenic effects on people using them. One study showed that parabens are able to accelerate oestrogen-mediated growth of human breast cancer cells.

Parabens are semisynthetic organic compounds used as food preservatives. They have been found in various care products, from cosmetics to hygiene supplies and personal care items like shampoos or toothpaste with an average of 85% of products containing them! In fact, 90% of consumers out there reject parabens. Make sure your future ready product do not use this ingredient when you buy their product.

Small Note: Since 2006, the OEM Factory, FURLEY BIOEXTRACTS SDN BHD does not use parabens in the production of any of the products they manufacture as there are better alternatives available.

What is Sodium laureth sulfate (SLS)?

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) is a surfactant that is used as a foaming agent. As such it is commonly found in personal care and cleaning products, such as toothpaste, mouthwash, shampoo, and ointments. Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) is a popular and cheap detergent used in oem products that can be found in many shampoos, toothpastes and skin cleansers. It’s considered to be less irritating than Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), but both are known skin irritants when used too much!

Did you know SLS is the benchmark for hypoallergenic skin sensitivity studies!

2. Certification of oems

Check the validity of the certifications and how they practice incoming and outgoing stock control. This will ensure the system they have in place is being follwoed.

2.3 OEM Factory Must Have Approval And Recognition From Government Bodies.

You would require your product to have the correct registrations they namely are from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) and JAKIM. Usually, you can choose to apply to get approval or get a third party will help you apply. The OEM Factory compliance and regulation team should be able to help assist you with registration at a cheaper price cheaper than a third-party / agent. Furley Bioextracts Sdn Bhd does!

When you have the MOH series and Halal recognition, then you can put the MOH serial number and halal logo on your product box. Without approvals you are not allowed to put such information on your product, it can be considered as fraud.

A small note: did you know, the average consumer today will check the ingredient list, KKM registration & Halal logos? Without them they’ll reject any product without one!
