But, being able to pass is not only normal, but also an important signal of health. It is in fact, a by-product of your digestive system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gas is produced in your body during the digestive process. It is also swallowed when you eat and chew. This gas eventually builds up in your digestive system. Some of it is absorbed naturally while the rest needs somewhere to go &#8211; usually a fart or a burp. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So what happens when you don&#8217;t pass gas?
